What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Been here a few times before, and it’s always been a good experience. It’s a restored building in a vintage-looking part of downtown. The front has large windows, a couple of patio tables, and bright yellow mums that invite you to step inside. Once inside, it’s a big space with a chill vibe. The order counter is large, with a few seats and a good view into the barista area. There’s plenty of seating for different-sized groups, plus an elevated seating and stage area at the back. It was late Monday afternoon, and there were only a couple of other people inside. I got a friendly greeting from the barista and help with my order. I went with my usual London Fog Tea Latte in a mug (little lavender, little vanilla, extra foam). I also wanted some bakery, but the only options were cookies and brownies, so I chose the Molasses Cookie. Along with that, I ordered a Peach Mango Refresher. The beverages and cookie were good. The refresher was made with half coconut milk, which added some richness. The London Fog was decent, and the cookie was chewy and flavorful. It made for a very relaxing time, sitting on a sofa and reading a book. On the way out, we browsed the small wine and grocery room off to the right. Lots of interesting spices, wines, vinegars, and gift ideas. This is definitely a place I’ll stop in again."
"Nice place, great coffee. Closing at 2 just like all the other coffee joints means they’re not getting the business the others are losing out on. It’s a shame that on the weekend our only options in this town are Starbucks which is not an option, and bars. In my opinion, you’re missing out on families, singles, and mid day dates. I’d come there now but you close soon. Last time I was there, there was 6 tables of people enjoying them selves 5 minutes before closing. Being a place people can group up and caffeinate before their night out is very valuable. Considering the fact that there are many bars in this area. My attached photo indicates that the time they’re closing is their second most busy hour of the day…. Open at 8, open at 9 minimum revenue, closing at 2 during second peak. Strange business decisions."
"I dont like leaving negative reviews. This is not that I am trying to be make you not go Ijust want you to be prepared when you arrive. If your looking for smiles and employees to greet you with any positive emotions this is not your place. If you want great drinks and good food with dry emotional interaction this is your place. This is not a review on more then one employee. We encountered two and it was awkward and if a person could be less helpful at helping you purchase and find your drinks definitely would be the girls working here behindthe counter! No guidance at all!....Jeez. Also its a Saturday at noon!"
"This place is way bigger on the inside and is super good at making coffee. That being said you will fall in love with this place! Just don't bring a blind date here. You're not going to want to avoid it if it doesn't work out. Learn from my mistakes!"
"I hate leaving bad reviews but I hope this serves as an important reminder to the owner as to why it’s so important to check up on your employees. All the girls were on their phone when I walked in. Literally every single one. So I was immediately annoyed and felt ignored. They also couldn’t answer basic questions and it was a struggle just to speak with me. So good luck holding a real job when adult life comes knocking. Good Lord. The kitchen took 15 minutes for the easiest order and then they forgot my side. I only leave bad reviews when I get super annoyed by terrible service and today was one of those days. You can either be mediocre in life or demand greatness and push yourself and the people around you to be the best. That’s how every business should be run and if it stinks at the bottom, it most likely stinks at the top. Do better."
"An institution. The type of coffee shop every small town wishes it had - but rarely does. They do everything right. Great brew. Remarkably strong food...."
