"5+++🌟 Well, what a surprise! I met Captain Mike who used to own the establishment, and his young charge, Eric. Very interesting folks. I like the idea of living your best life. And it seems like to this point, Eric is living his best life. I hope it goes well. The food was fantastic, I had the 1 lb grass-fed burger with cheese, a couple of different types. Also, mushrooms, grilled onions, and two huge patties and an egg. Condiments weren't necessary, because the product was fantastic. My wife had the lobster bisque and The spring green salad which was monstrous. The coleslaw that came with the burger was fantastic. Everything was well made, the ambiance was fantastic, small place, big personality. Will definitely be back. I will post this on the burger list also. A few shots of Jack Daniels, a couple of Miller lights, and a Pepsi! Can't go wrong!"

"I love the food, beer selection, and atmosphere. I always make a point to take the 40 minute trek to come here when I am in IL from out of state. My only complaint is that the service while sitting at the bar seems to be slow more times than not. The staff is super friendly, but this seems to have a downside. I have had multiple instances where my food order has been ready within a minute of me sitting down (you fill out your order on a paper menu) for it to then sit for 10 minutes or more while the staff chats with another customer. All that said I will continue to always comeback because the burgers are great and I appreciate always trying a new beer."
