What People Are Saying
from Google"This place blows. The employees are nice, nothing against them. The prices are genuinely unreasonable, they say they try to keep them competitive but I'm not sure there's anything as expensive as this place in the Madison area. Capitol centre is way more reasonably priced and equally downtown. The prices here are about double woodman's and they're like 10-15 minutes from each other. This place is a direct example of price gouging and pandering to people who live in the high rises while the people across the street at the beacon or salvation army cannot afford to shop here or are forced to burn SNAP because they can't drive elsewhere."
"I've ordered cakes for my son's 1st and second birthdays, and they have both been exactly what I asked for and always on time. The employees of the bakery are very nice and caring."
"Pictures shown are lies. They blocked off the upstairs dining area. Only allowing employees access. And they have up thier bulk section as well..."
"BEAUTIFUL STORE! I’ve been to many Festival stores before, but this one takes the spot of my new favorite. As usual for Festival, customer service is crazy off the charts good, tasty selection of loads of local and hard to find Wisconsin foods, but where this location shines is its unique construction. The ceiling here uses recycled trees that were removed from nearby Tenney Park for structural support beams, which is something I’ve never seen in a grocery store before. Not only is this sustainable, and stylish, but proof Festival goes to any lengths possible to maximize the experience for customers and employees alike. If I could give this 420 stars, I would PS, give Alexis a boomerang! She’s amazing!"
"I wasn’t going to do this at first because I hate leaving bad reviews especially when I frequent the location as often as I do this store. But last Thursday Joan was working the liquor department and was extremely disrespectful and rude to my friends and I. There were three of us. We only had 5/6 items each and when he saw us coming up he rolled his eyes and groaned. For every item scanned, he complained and groaned, huffing and puffing the whole way. Then asked if I’d prefer paper or plastic bags. I said “whichever is easier for you.” (Trying to de-escalate the situation). To which their response was “whatever then!” And another groan and eye roll. As someone who works in customer service this person should be ashamed for their inability to conduct themselves professionally in front of customers. The person behind me asked if everything was okay and if Joan was having a bad day, to which his response was “whatever it doesn’t matter, paper or plastic?” This needs to be dealt with from management. This is not how you should be presenting in front of customers, NO MATTER how bad your day is!"
