What People Are Saying
from Google"My mom and my favorite spot since I was a baby, when they were located on Midvale Blvd. I remember standing on a stool to watch the bakers decorate their cakes through the window. I have endless lovely memories of brunches here with my mom, family, and friends. 💐🫖🥖⛲️🍰 The lemon hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict is to die for. The quiche is creamy and fluffy. My mom adored the Albanian skillet. Fresh squeezed orange juice and a chai latte are delish. Beautiful interior design, unique tea kettles, and a peaceful patio with a bubbling fountain make for a delightful, classy, cozy setting. Servers are kind and attentive. Truly a beloved Madison staple to my family and I!"
"Amazing place with delicious food and treats! Visited for brunch on a Sunday and the setting was beautiful. Pianist was playing, place was busy with a great vibe. The breakfast plate and bear claw were out of this world. Service good also. ❤️"
"La Brioche is just as busy as Marigold Kitchen, despite not close to the square and having much more ample seating. The quality of the food is consistent. Everything from the pastries and the coffee to the breakfast tacos and made-to-order egg scrambles are top notch every time. Very reasonably priced, which is why this place is so busy. You have to get used to the service not being great. Long waits to get orders taken, few check-ups, takes forever to get your check, etc. La Brioche is a solid brunch for a lazy Sunday and the food will not disappoint. However, if you are in a rush or nit-picky about expedient service, this likely isn’t the place for you. And this place is never quiet. You can have a pleasant conversation but quiet is never a good adjective to describe the atmosphere."
"I don’t know, but it’s cozy and feels like a visit home. I have been going to this restaurant since the early 2000s when La Brioche was located near the the old Sequoya Library on Midvale. Back then it was just a single room with a bakery."
"What a classic and beautiful place to have a meal. Our waiter was amazing and attentive. Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating when we arrived at 10am. The only annoying thing was the train that came by and blew it's horn."
