"Sardine was absolutely perfect. We went on a busy Sunday morning- and we had made no reservations! It was bustling inside. We got seated immediately at a communal table with the warning that the communal table turns into a reserved table at a certain time. They also promised that if we were still there when that happened they would move us. When that time approached the waitstaff smoothly moved us and our stuff to a neighboring two top. The food!!! Having worked in a high end patisserie in NYC we had some pretty high standards and Sardine was exceptional. I felt transported back to NYC and Paris. The marshmallow on the hot chocolate was incredible. The oysters were absolutely delicious and sweet. Our Croque Madams were exactly what we were missing. Everything was perfect."

"This spot holds a very special place in my heart. It's not often that I get to visit but when I do I thoroughly enjoy the service and food quality and taste. The oysters are a must. You can do a mix and match set so as to try all that they offer. Out server was very kind and even offered a free sorbet on my birthday. The sorbet was sooo flavourful and had a little candied lemon on top. Top notch dessert. Now to circle back to dinner. My ribeye served rare was delectable. I went with a salad on the side instead of fries. My only complaint was that the aioli wasn't very garlicky and could've used some more flavor. I can't wait to take my boyfriend here. Overall. Exquisite."

"Fabulous experience at Sardine - almost everything tasted fresh and well-executed. House salad and pork chop were excellent. We also had the duck dish; I thought the mashed potatoes were a tad too salty and duck would have fared better if less cooked (perhaps a medium rare rather than medium). Extensive drinks list and attentive service too. Overall, a wonderful time and possibly the best restaurant in Madison!"

"Went here for our anniversary and had an incredible time! We were sat exactly at our reservation time with a view of the water. Our waiter was extremely kind and always checked in to make sure everything was going well. The food was delicious, we started with the appetizer special and were blown away. Had the Madison sourdough bread as an app as well and we ate the entire basket! The whitefish and steak were amazing, both very soft and flavorful. Will definitely be back."

"Had a nice brunch and the French toast was really good. I got the brunch special that day and the French toast was a recommendation. The restaurant is right next to a lake so it is a nice view if you sit outside."
