from Google"A wonderful addition to downtown dining! SASS just opened, and they have already been serving up great food and very friendly service! We have come in for drinks and lunch . We have so far tried the pulled pork sandwich, grilled buffalo chicken wrap and plain old burger. The pulled pork was delicious! The BBQ had a hoisin flavor and was really, really good. The burger was perfectly cooked at medium rare and flavorful. The wrap was good too! Our potato choices were curly fries and potato cake, and both were solid. I am really looking forward to coming back for dinner to try some seafood, deviled eggs, and ribs!! Update: Been back several times to try dinner items. The deviled eggs are great, the green beans are delicious. The ribs are to die for, perfectly cooked. And the chicken wings are well done. You're not going to be disappointed!"
"Would not recommend. The food was served cold / undercooked. It also took forever to come out (probably why it was cold). Plus the food wasn’t that enjoyable. The mushrooms tasted expired. The wontons were saggy. The bartenders were nice but their drinks were odd. We had two versions of an old fashioned. One tasted like smoke and the other like barbecue sauce."
"Highly disappointed1 I phone in for an order of the grilled wings. I asked for 3 buffalo and 3 bbq. The server advised ok. Pick up my order and there were small buffalo wings not the grilled whole wings that's on the menu. I was told the supplier ran out of the regular wings. At least mention this to me before I order. I was charged the full price for the kind of wings I did not want. False advertisement! Needless to say I will not be returning."
"Our experience at Sass, situated in the heart of Capitol Square, was, regrettably, a disappointment. With high hopes and eager anticipation, we entered the establishment only to find the ambiance rather underwhelming. The decor, seemingly recycled from the previous occupant, lacked character and failed to establish a unique identity. The peculiar mix of random artwork adorning the front wall appeared to be haphazardly sourced from a discount retailer, further detracting from the overall aesthetic. Equally disconcerting was the discordant soundtrack, an eclectic mix that felt out of place amidst the setting. Nevertheless, we proceeded to peruse the menu, only to be met with yet another disappointment. The staff, although pleasant, was ill-prepared and struggled to articulate the dishes and ingredients. Their lack of knowledge regarding the oyster selection ultimately deterred us from sampling the shellfish offerings. The food, while adequate, was overpriced and visually unappealing. The meager portion of portabella mushrooms, masquerading as an appetizer, was underwhelming and hardly shareable. The battered calamari, unfortunately, lacked flavor and failed to impress. Seeking solace in the desserts, we inquired about in-house specialties and settled on the apple crisp. Alas, the dish arrived with a dollop of sour cream, mistaken for a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which did little to elevate the taste or presentation. In conclusion, our visit to Sass left much to be desired. From the disjointed atmosphere to the overpriced and uninspired fare, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to fellow diners. Our sincerest hope is that the proprietors take note of these critiques and implement the necessary changes to elevate the dining experience at Sass."
"Service great. With the only people in the restaurant I would assume the food would take less than 30 min. Food was below average. 2.00 wings seem like a deal but when eating them the chicken had a plastic taste. You got this folks, you have a great spot. Spend the money on a chef and crew. Word will get out and Boom, your back baby."
