"First time here. Stopped in with a couple others for a hot beverage and something to eat. It's got great curb appeal on this street. A modern exterior, with a color scheme that is eye catching. I looked up the word "Kuumba," and Kuumba is Swahili and means "creativity." I think that's a fitting word. There is a patio out back for seating, and inside are tables for different sized groups. We found a comfortable four top. Got a friendly greeting and patience with us figuring out our order. Lots of interesting hot and cold beverages. Not an extensive list of food choices, but ones that we were interested in. We ordered some hot beverages. I got my London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). Black coffee, and Bright Sunny Day Fresh Juice. A couple of Breakfast Sandwiches and Avocado Toast. There was only one person working, so it took a little while to get everything made, but it was all prepared with care, and the sandwiches were warm. The pork sausage on the sandwich was ginger maple, but I didn't find it that flavorful. They had several hot sauces available (not a "hot" fan), and I added just a bit to give it some interest. Some kind of aioli would have been a nice option. The Avocado Toast was made with what looked like a spread and had quite a bit of pepper. The London Fog was very good, and they even provided me with the bit of extra that was in the frothing cup. Would stop again and give it another try."

"Stopped in for the first time and had a great experience. I haven't been to a juice and cafe like this since I lived in the East Coast, it was so refreshing to find one. Fresh and homemade ingredients and healthy but delicious food options. Me and my spouse grabbed a juice and smoothie and we loved both of them. The beet juice with peppers was refreshing and perfect for a low tomato diet person that misses V8. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, and I got some butternut squash chili that looks amazing, waiting for lunch to try that. I had a pinch of the cornbread, it's definitely homemade and biscuit shaped, I loved the fresh cornbread flavor and appreciate that it wasn't like a sweet cake texture. They remind me of the cornbread I had down south when grandma would cook it. I'm guessing the owner was who helped us, he was happy to talk to us about the salsas and peppers he was fermenting and didn't mind our curiosity, I am looking forward to trying the sauce we picked up also. I look forward to returning soon. Overall, the atmosphere is a great community centric location, with local flyers and events being hosted in the welcoming space. During the warmer months there are two garage doors that open onto an equally large patio that is also a semipermeable rain catchment to help reduce runoff and protect our waterways. I wanted to add that this place is great for people that don't want to eat highly processed foods with added sugar and prefer healthier, whole foods and home cooked type food."
