"First time here. I had heard things about this place and stopped by as I was on this side of town. It was late morning morning. The exterior has a nice minimalist design, yet it's welcoming. Inside has a spacious and relaxed feel. There are spots for singles, doubles, or small groups. The counter is nicely arranged so you can see the pastries or cold beverages. There were a few other small groups and a couple of people working on laptops. Got a greeting from the cashier/barista that was cordial, but I wouldn't call it especially friendly or outgoing. I ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). They had some very interesting looking pastries, including croissants (called Crox), muffins, cinnamon rolls, and scones. I asked for a recommendation, and the answer was the "Brie Apricot" scone, so I went with that. I also got the scone warmed up. After a few minutes, my London Fog and scone were ready. The London Fog looked amazing. In addition to the nice foam, there was a sprinkle of lavender sugar across half of it. The scone was warm and fragrant. Unfortunately, they both fell a little short. The flavor of the London Fog great, but it was lukewarm. The texture of the scone was more like a muffin/bread (not dry and crumbly like a traditional scone). There is a lot to like about this coffee shop. I might be willing to stop in again and give it another try. I'd make sure to ask for my London Fog hot (or is 130°F, extra hot?) and skip the scone for something else."

"Truly creative, with lots of cold brew options. I ordered the “Bake Sale Flight”, consisting of cold brews flavored as, and topped with a small bite of, each of the following: -Scotcheroo -Rice crispy treat -Oatmeal raisin cookie -Puppy chow None were overly sugary, and each had distinctive flavors. Topped with whipped cream. I thought Scotcheroo best, rice crispy second best. Another customer recommended I try “sweet and creamy” cold brews flavor. Next time. Definitely next time. A shot of espresso served in triangular based glass, accompanied by a glass of sparkling water, served on wooden tray. Espresso was rich, luscious, not at all bitter, with perfect crema. A variety of baked goods are available, from Greige Patisserie. I had a warmed up ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was not as flaky as I expected, there seemed to be much more (?Swiss) cheese than ideal, with an adequate amount of ham being overshadowed by all this cheese. Excellent service. Perfectionust (in a good way) barista. Room was very welcoming despite very industrial, stark architecture. Lots of seating options. The crowd was younger, diverse, with average age probably thirty. Saw a number of families with children here, who fit in perfectly. Highly recommend."

"After 2 years I am back to Pilcrow and glad to see what was already good is even better now. We ordered hot vanilla late and sweet &creamy nitro cold brew, both delicious. Good place to get some work/study done or simple have some quality time with date/friends. Just dont go there hungry, because I didn’t see any treats. Bottom line if you enjoy a great coffee, you should stop by."

"Fantastic roastery and cafe—lovely, helpful staff, wonderful attention to the coffee (which is roasted a few feet from the counter) a spacious and comfortable interior, and super reasonable prices. As I was writing this my single-origin cortado came out and what a delight! I believe it was the summer blend she gave me, and the range and variety of taste is exceptional. I also tried their nitro cold brew and as you might expect it was super smooth. The one point of contention I have is the tasting notes for their Storyteller roast. They say it has notes of chocolate, walnut, and peach, but when I tried it as cold brew it was CLEARLY apricot, so whoever said peach was crazy. That or there’s some variation based on how the brew it . . . (Note—I have come to find out they actually have several different roasts of that same coffee, so perhaps they can be forgiven for the mistake)"

"Find a fellow coffee lovin friend and head down. Flights only in cold brews. Changes up every so often. Price is fair for taste and size of flights. Food: bakery items were flaky, buttery, and many different kinds. Savory, sweet, Danish, croissant, light and more filling options. Coffee: Brewed fresh, delicious. Thoughtful presentation. Has Brewed whole beans available for purchase with date of brew for freshness. Has tea and non coffee options for those who may not be into coffee or kids too. Atmosphere: perfect for a daytime summer outdoor seating coffee with a friend or date. Indoor seating as well. In a quaint little developing neighborhood. Service: Very courteous servers."
