What People Are Saying
from Google"Cozy bar style set up. Went for the food and was not disappointed. The poutine gravy was good. Had a unique tang to it. The Lion house burger was also enjoyable. The sauce they used on it gave it a nice kick. Would return here to try other menu items."
"Hands down best brunch in MKE! Staff is amazing and the food is great. Update 9/5 Came back with friends this time for dinner. Reece was our table’s server/bartender, very friendly and made us laugh a lot and he had good opinions on what to try. I gave mushy peas a go with my fish n chips and they are a must! Had a few great drinks as well. I’ll continue to come back when visiting Milwaukee and recommend to any friends who are planning on going to the area."
"We recently attended a wedding weekend in Milwaukee where the rehearsal dinner was hosted upstairs at Red Lion Pub and then the plated wedding reception was catered by RLP and both were a tremendous success. We recently hosted two back-to‐back events at this venue—the rehearsal dinner and then the plated wedding reception—and we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out. From the moment guests arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance of warm hospitality and professional service. The food also deserves high praise: both meals were outstanding. The rehearsal dinner menu was the fried fish and chips with a gluten-free paras premaveria, both delicious. The reception was held at Best Place and included a plated meal with three choices for guests each exceeded expectations. Every dish served received rave reviews from guests. If you’re looking for a venue where your guests will feel cared for and well fed, this pub is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!"
"Stopped in for another lunch after visiting the O'Malley Europen Foods down the street. Had the scotch egg, bangers and mash, and full english breakfast this time. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Street parking was easy on a Saturday afternoon. This was the second time we've been here, the bangers and mash and scotch egg were still excellent. Full English was also delicious! Service was great even during a rowdy Arsenal match. Can't wait to stop in again!"
"During our visit, they were missing a really long list of ingredients such that we had to change our table order twice. But the server was so gracious and forthcoming it didn't feel like a real issue. Ultimately didn't cause too much disruption, because the food was still hearty and comforting (though mostly unremarkable), and the beer so affordable and delightful. The pasty absolutely hit the spot, so on-the-mark I forgot to take a photo of it, it was gone so fast. Chicken was pretty meh for the price though. Really weird choice of music for an English Pub though."
