from Google"My family tried bourbon street bistro yesterday. We go there for an early dinner around 4pm. We ordered Louisiana style chickory coffee which was delicious. I ordered the sampler and it was really good. I really liked the Jambalaya. My girlfriend had the oysters and they were very good. I really liked the smoky flavor. My daughter had the pasta. It was thick creamy and delicious as well. I also had some gator bites at the end just for curriousity. They were juicy and delicious. Our bill was about 100 bucks. You should probably expect to spend 20-30 dollars a person. The service was also fast and friendly. Chef Curtis stopped by and checked in on us personally. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out."
"Not a horrible restaurant but definitely over rated so far. Went later in the evening, but that shouldn't be a reason for quality. Hushpuppies tasted great but were over cooked and a little salty. Poboys were great, the bread is amazing. Gumbo and etouffee were decent. Alot of flavor, over salted. Jambalaya was pretty dry. The beignet's were raw dough in the middle? Overall food in general was a bit over salted not the worst. Not against trying it again hoping for better quality after they get settled in or maybe it was just a bad night?"
"We were a group of 5 that came here for lunch at 12:15 pm. Our arrival was well timed within minutes there was a line for a table in this quaint cajun bistro. We were an eclectic group, the orders ranged from the gumbo, jambalaya, a Po’ Boy, and two Bayou burgers. Ashley was our server and she was excellent, prompt taking our orders, quick to get us drinks and food on the table, especially appreciated since we were time limited. She also made frequent stops to see if anyone needed refills. The food was tasty, the servings well sized, and everything was correct as ordered. We were impressed, that the owner actually checked and waited on tables when the rest of the staff were with other customers. We split an order beignets among the table for dessert - they were perfect! What a great addition to the downtown area, check this place out!"
"This place is excellent and I will definitely be going back. I got half blackened catfish po'boy and jambalaya. It was so good that I ordered some gumbo to go which I plan on having tonight. Service was great and efficient And I love the atmosphere 11 out of 10 you need to try this place if you're in the area"
"Food was mostly good. It is over priced, however. A tiny little cup of mac n cheese (with no sides included) is $8. It was instant mac for the kids, for $8. The rest of the menu follows that same trend, small portions for a large price. We had a toddler, 8 year old, and my wife and I, and it was $120. The atmosphere, and service was fantastic, just strongly feel the value doesn't come through with portion size and the quality of food. The gumbo wasn't very good, but the gator was good, and the box car fries were fantastic. Fries were good in general as well."
