"We spent a night in Charleston, WV and found this GEM! My husband got the local fave beer and loved it. I had the bacon and pimento burger- incredible, they know how to cook a burger- exactly how I asked. Husband had the wings and loved them. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Our hostess was kind and helpful. Our server was friendly, informative, attentive. It’s worth the short walk after finding a parking spot. Highly recommend!"

Some pros and cons: PROS: FOOD FOOD FOOD! delicious fresh made good size portions Laid back atmosphere Nice interior Service Friendly employees Fries are cooked to perfection ! CONS: Parking is not great so get there early Finding where the main entrance is was a little tricky And this might just be a personal preference but the TVs were a little too loud .. but there was a game on so you know how that goes. Overall 10/10 .. I will go again ! I’m glad I found it !"

"Great food, neat old building. Was full of people having a good time. Service was very slow and she forgot everything, silverware, refills, etc. Really good cubano sandwich. Pickles were listed (on the menu) as memorable and they were very vinegar based and fantastic. Overall, it was a good dinner."

"We visited Charleston for just one night and chose this restaurant based on strong recommendations. The food was excellent—my wife’s braised beef sandwich was flavorful and generous, and my Rise Up burger was cooked perfectly, including the egg. Service was friendly, though a little slow, which is understandable during busy times. One area for improvement is accessibility. The website mentions handicap-accessible entrance, seating, and parking. While the entrance and seating were great, we couldn’t find any designated handicap parking nearby and had to park on a very narrow street, which was challenging. Adding clearly marked accessible parking spaces close to the restaurant would make a big difference for guests with mobility needs"

"Stopped in for a late dinner and a drink while traveling through the area; didn’t want fast food so we picked this slightly off the beaten path little spot. Super glad we did! The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I was served a very generously sized Manhattan and the flavors were perfect. It was a little loud, football game was on and there’s nothing to soften the noise, but otherwise a perfect spot for a sit and a bite."
