"We grabbed lunch at the Bar! Very nostalgic! Always a great time! Good was on point! Chose the amazing spaghetti with salad & Grecian toast! Swear to goodness we ordered and Sandy had in front of us by the time I took my first bite! Hands down the best lil eatery around! My friend had the BLT and it was a beauty! Fun time while dining! Stop by and see them! Lunch or dinner! Close to the interstate and downtown area! Shopping nearby and safe parking lot. Great staff & mouthwatering food! Tell them I sent you!"

"All the racial stories are true. When me and my husband first came in they were already being rude as soon as we stepped inside. Neither myself or my husband has ordered or even been to this establishment but we are always looking to try new foods so we wanted to come here and try their food. When we came in like l said they were rude off the jump didn’t greet us nor gave us a booth or table to sit at. The store owner had his pen and notebook in his hand and just immediately asked what we were ordering mind you we’ve never been to this establishment to know off the top of our heads what we’re going to eat already. Me and my husband sat ourselves down at the bar area and were looking at the menu on what we wanted and the store owner was being very rude and disrespectful rushing us to order. My husband asked the store owner why were there tea so expensive because it said $4 and the guy responded very rudely and said “it’s 2025 what do you expect.” Mind you my husband loves sweet tea he wasn’t complaining or anything he would have ordered it anyway he just had a question and wanted it answered, there really wasn’t no need to get smart and be rude about it. And then also the store owner continue to respond to my husband and say “I’m not a racist.” Mind you neither myself or my husband said anything about racism to the guy. He clearly was already describing himself as an rude racist because we were colored and he already from the jump was very disrespectful, had a nasty tone, and very very rude. The store owner was also upset that my husband needed to use their restroom and made comments like “I don’t like when people come in here using the restroom but not buying anything.” Mind you if the store owner and the other employees would have treated us respectfully my husband and myself would have ordered something off the menu but we decided not to because l don’t think it’s okay to spend money at an establishment that’s very distasteful from the moment we walk in. My husband and myself was very uncomfortable, we felt unwelcome and will never come to this establishment ever again. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Also on a side note Wendy’s Breakfast Is Very Good, Reasonable Price, And Good Customer Service there."

"This is simply an old school place....nothing fancy....just a good restaurant to get homemade comfort food that's been family owned for 72 years! There is plenty of parking behind with a rear entrance. Handicapped and additional parking right out front. I sat at the bar amidst many locals who mentioned they've been coming there for years. One fellow says he eats breakfast there 5 days a week. It's one of those friendly joints that anyone can walk in and enjoy a substantial meal, and even some new conversation. My first time there, I ordered the daily special (see the photo below for the daily specials) of chicken and dumplings. For my sides, I chose green beans and some stick- to-your-ribs, cheesy Mac n cheese. I like my food seasoned a little more, and that was rapidly cured with salt 'n pepper. You can have a beer, soda, or iced tea. I did see that there's liver on the menu and baked steak, and everyone raves about their juicy burgers. I'm sure I'll be trying all at some time when I stop in while driving rideshare. They have a weiner (hot dog) on Wednesday. Don't expect anything spectacular.....just good, home cooked meals and plenty of it at a great price. For those of you traveling down Rt 64, get off at Exit 58C and turn onto W. Washington St. It's about a mile down on your left in a red brick building. EZ Off / EZ On. Enjoy!"

"Food was excellent, home cooking, had the July special (meatloaf) and chose green beans and mac&cheese as side with cornbread. Finished off with a delicious blackberry cobbler a la mode. Staff was friendly as well as patrons. Good parking in back. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy but glad I stopped in for dinner."
