"We decided to eat here today. The place was very clean and music was just right! We could definitely talk to one another without screaming. We tried the fried pickles and they were delicious! My sister and Mom both got the 2 meat platter (one got the bonesless wings with the spicy honey bbq with the smoked sausage, fries and coleslaw, the other got brisket, grilled chicken, baked potato and coleslaw) and they enjoyed everything BUT the coleslaw. It was tasted weird like it had too much mayo and was old. I got a Monterey Jack Philly with sweet potato fries. It was okay, (if I try a Philly again will definitely do the pulled chicken), it needed a sauce or something and I personally didn't like the sweet potato fries, they needed to be crispy. Our server was the BEST! We will definitely give you all another try."

"Everything we had was amazing. The ribs were perfectly smoked. The BBQ was delicious. I don't think you could go wrong ordering anything on the menu. * skip the house made chips other than that go wild and have someone in your party order different things. That's what we did and shared. The service was top-notch as well. We even got a fresh, warm cookie for the Little in our party at the end. Thanks, Buddys team. You all rock."

"Stopped by today after being in WV shopping. We've been looking for a great BBQ place since moving to Olive Hill, 3 years ago, and we sure found it!!! The food here is FANTASTIC!!! Some of the best BBQ we've ever eaten. We started off with an order of Nacho Supreme, with shredded pork, for an appetizer. They came on a huge plate and started the meal off right. Next, we both ordered The Rib Combo Platter. We had BabyBack Ribs [that had just the right amount of sauce on them] and Beef Brisket. Both meats were very tender, moist, and cooked to perfection. Our sides were Baked Beans, Cold Slaw, and Potato Salad. While they were all tasty, the potato salad hit the spot. The potatos were actually cooked till done, creamy and flavorful. They will definitely be one of our go-to sides every time we visit. Hubby had garlic toast while I had hush puppies. We did taste the BBQ sauce in the clear container at the table. Like everything else in the place...Mmm Mmm Good!!!"

"I'm new to the area and decided to try Buddy's. I pulled up in the drive thru lane and another car was at the window. After 3 or 4 minutes the car drove off and I advanced to the window. I sat for another 3 or 4 minutes and watched 2 employees walk in and out near the window without taking my order. I figured they must be too busy to wait on me. Not wanting to add to their workload, I drove away and went to Captain D's instead. I cannot express an opinion on Buddy's bbq. But Captain D's was good."
