"Dinner in Morgantown at Bourbon Prime. I’m in town for a conference for the day job and just had a fabulous experience at the restaurant inside the Marriott. Thanks so much to Mathias for taking such good care of us. Starting with the Almost Heaven Old Fashioned, made with a custom cask of Woodford Reserve bourbon. Dinner was the bougiest pepperoni rolls ever, along with roasted baby carrots and broccolini, all paired with a delightful Seghesio Zinfandel. Dessert for me was an espresso crème brûlée. Eddie had the blackberry bread pudding. Everything about this place was on point."

"Nice Bar and Grill within the Marriott on the waterfront. Always good drinks and tasty bites. They focus on Bourbon and have good prime beef. Affordable and a spectacular view of the river. I’d stay away from the flaming havarti but the burger (double with double cheeseburgers and bacon), the fries, the prime dip, the salads and the steaks were all phenomenal."

"We attended their Thanksgiving buffet. First the staff was pleasant and our waitress was attentive removing plates and checking on us. I have worked in food service and as an event planner for large upscale events and I have to say the buffet was disappointing. First, they only had one meat option, turkey breast. No ham in site. I was told they would have an optional prime rib and steak carving station for an additional $60 on top of the $42 for just the turkey buffet. We were not asked if we wanted the beef option when we sat down and then saw a sign on a pillar at the buffet that the beef was not available till after 4pm. The buffet items were somewhat traditional, salad, mashed potatoes, runny gravy, cornbread dressing, diced root vegetables with kale, green been casserole, assorted rolls, broccoli cheddar soup and desserts. All the food was cold and dried out when we made our first two passes. As for the flavor, it was not anything worth the price. I had one spoonfull of everything and ended up only eating the vegetables and turkey. The turkey was okay but they acted like it was gold for they only gave one thin slice of turkey at a time. 🙄 I am sure they wanted you to fill up on the other food items but the turkey was the only half decent tasting thing on the whole buffet. I should say the spiced cranberry jam was tasty. The plates were dirty with bits of food stuck on them and people were stacking them to one side but they were not cleared quickly. Never would that be acceptable in any situation for a supposedly higher end restaurant. One final thing is they did not inform us that a 20% gratuity would be added to the check. I can understand if it is a large party but we were three people. I don't appreciate being held hostage for a tip when our waitress only did what was customary service."

"Filet mignon was excellent. Cooked to requested temperature. Enjoyed appetizer and drinks as well. Timing of meal was off, as entrees came right after appetizer. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again though!"

"The Thanksgiving buffet experience was disappointing due to several shortcomings. The limited options and exorbitant prices, primarily for what amounted to deli turkey and no other meat options, were not justified. Furthermore, the service charge of 20% was not disclosed until the bill was presented. The wait for drinks and refills was excessively long, and the plate clearing process was inefficient. Additionally, the servers’ lack of teamwork was evident and the majority of the staff unfriendly and unprofessional."
