"The Omelet Shoppe on East 7th Street is a classic, no-frills diner that captures a very authentic, old-school Parkersburg atmosphere. I stopped in for a standard breakfast, and the food was served hot, fast, and exactly as you’d expect from a local "greasy spoon." The staff was efficient and friendly, managing the morning rush well despite the building being quite full. While the interior is definitely dated and could use a bit of a refresh, the booth area was clean and the prices remain very affordable for the portion sizes. It isn't a gourmet experience, but it’s a reliable and realistic choice for a quick, filling meal in the area."

"We were traveling on Christmas Eve, and they were open. What a welcoming, community-based diner! First of all, the food was exactly the way we ordered it like the cook read our minds. My husband likes his bacon a bit softer, and it was perfectly cooked the exact way he likes it. Everything was tasty and well made. Second, the service made us feel like we were a welcome part of their community. They knew the names of some of their regulars, and the staff was having conversations in and around and with people who were there. We felt like we weren't some burden on a holiday but actually welcome. For traveling, that is a special feeling. Lastly, it really wasn't hard to get to off the freeway. This ended up being a special memory for us this trip, and it was "just" breakfast."

"Eggs came as ordered so no complaints there. Not a bad place to eat, if you stick with breakfast. Venture into other areas of the menu at your own risk. I do wanna say that the garden skillet which comes with avocado slices was very tasty. I definitely recommend it."
