"I really enjoyed this trip! The ferry ride was great and the captain was very friendly. We didn't get to explore the whole island because we were pressed for time, but we did get a tour of the mansion. The whole island is beautiful! I will definitely be coming back when we can. Loved it!!"

"This is the building where you get tickets to go out to the Blennerhasset Mansion. It is a nice building with helpful staff. There are restrooms and there is information about the area there. There is parking near the building. There is a park with a bike path near there. Point Park."

"Investigated a trip to Parkersburg. Drove 2 and 1/2 hours. Wanted to see Blennerhassett Island. All of the literature, including their printed ferry schedules, stated that the last ferry was at 4:30 p.m. What they don't tell you is that the last ferry from the mainland to the island is apparently at the caprice of whomever is operating the ferry and is listed nowhere on their literature. Therefore, at 7 minutes after 3:00 p.m., we were told that we were too late. Wasted trip. If you want my advice, unless you want to deal with the whims of the ferry operator, go to the other side of the state to Berkeley springs or shepherdstown. "0" stars for visit Parkersburg. But 5 stars for the very nice young woman behind the desk who offered us alternatives after having missed our trip."
