"My son-in-law fondly remembers his mother treating him to a Hamburger Stand in El Centro when he was little, he saw this one as we were traveling and we stopped for lunch. I was impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff were. No less than four employees engaged with us while ordering, all were friendly and just seemed genuinely grateful that we were there. My wife has a beef allergy and we asked if the chicken would ever come in contact with anything the beef had touched, they assured us it wouldn’t. By the time we finished our order (there were six of us) an employee returned told me she had spoken with the cook to make sure they understood and would be careful. We also bought a “I just came for the wieners ” hat for a friend who would appreciate the humor. So a hat plus six meals (including a milkshake) was $80. Where else can you feed six people lunch for that??! The burgers were tasty, the restaurant and bathrooms clean. I can’t remember a time being genuinely impressed with a fast food restaurant, this was a different experience altogether. I wish we had one closer to home. "Stopped in for a quick lunch, staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was out quickly and was hot and fresh. Decent burger and good fries. I had the BBQ bacon burger and my wife got a corn dog. We also tried the jalapeno poppers which we really enjoyed as well. They offer a hero discount, which is nice. We sat outside at one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed the sunshine.
