"I've never heard of Gillette before preparing our US mid west tour. As planned we made a stop here for museum visit and lunch after visiting the amazing Devils tower. It's around half way between Rapid City and Billings which was our route for that day. The museum is in a side street from the main town street. I am a great Americana fan and visited many such places during our previous visits, but mostly along Rt. 66. I was glad I could also visit such here in northern mid west. They have tons of memorabilia, neon signs, old gas pumps, cars,....you name it. At the end we also ordered chicken wraps with fries in their cafe for takeaway and continued our journey"

"We stopped thinking we could take a break from driving for an hour. Funny it takes longer then that to really see the items in the museum. It is great that the have an old soda shop for food when you get hungry. We ordered a 4 cheese grill sandwich and we could have shared it because it was huge. It tasted great! If we come through again, it is a repeat stop. Everyone was very nice and patient with children. Familys need to know that everything has a sign of"do not touch". The one place the kids can touch is in the soda shop. A few games, fun tables and chairs. They also have a lot of the old style candies to share with young families."

"There is so much to see here, a true tribute to Americana and a bygone era. You could spend hours in here and still not see everything. The gift shop has a little bit of everything and a cafe as well. This is a must see if you are in Gillette!"

"The antiques museum is GREAT! It took me and my wife a couple days to get through everything they have, but admissions are good for 6 months so you have plenty of time to come back and see what you missed. Don't miss out on the cafe! Good prices, excellent wraps, brats, fries, and shakes - our go-to over any other fast food in the area!"

★★★★★

"This place is way cool and it exceeded my expectations. TONS of vintage displays including store fronts, a service station, minerals, mining, a model train, telegram station, some really nice cars, trucks, and motorcycles, along with various vintage items like signs, clothing, food, etc. This place is definitely worth stopping at if you are a fan of vintage vehicles or like history from like the 40s-60s. These pictures don't do the place justice - see it for yourself."
