"This was our second experience here. The first time, they were moderately busy and the waitress apologized multiple times for the food taking so long. I had to ask for chips and salsa to tide us over while we waited. This time, the place was nearly empty. When we walked in, we stood there awkwardly, wondering whether to wait or seat ourselves. (There were no signs and no employees in sight.) We decided to wait, fearing if we sat, they wouldn't know we were there. An older gentleman finally appeared and told us to sit where we'd like. Everything from that point took forever...from getting menus, to placing our order, to getting the food, to getting the check. (Again, the place was nearly empty.). When we finally got our food, I was shocked! There was hardly any food on the plates. I ordered 2 enchiladas. They were served on a salad plate. (see photo) My friend ordered a burger. It was also very small, with about 5 potato chips on the side. No chips and salsa were given, as is standard in all other Mexican restaurants. We were still hungry when we left."

"I’ve always loved Bernie’s. Family owned and the food is delicious. 🤤 I still remember when he was getting it off the ground. Family always welcomed me and service was like walking into my own home."

"Service was HORRIBLE!! Took 20 minutes to get water, soda and tea (and the "sweet tea" was lemon tea from the fountain) and they brought the wrong drinks out...amd spilled half the pop on my husband's leg and didnt even say anything! The food was terrible. You have to buy chips and salsa...they don't just bring them to you, so we ordered the "cheese dip" and it tasted like off brand velveeta-type cheese with generic store bought salsa mixed in, not a white cheese dip like at a typical Mexican restaurant....and had a horrible after-tast!! Took atleast 40 minutes to get the "cheese dip" that was ordered as an appetizer None of the food came out correct. The chimichangas were so soggy from sitting in the window forever in the "chili" (which they brought the wrong kind of chili on both of the chimichangas)! Charged extra for a tiny cup of salsa for the nacho. Never got a refill on any drinks. Worst experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant!! All of this and there were only approximately 5 tables of people in the restaurant the entire time we were there, so it's not like we came at a busy time!"

"The food was good, pricing was reasonable, felt very home like. Our waitress was extremely kind and checked on us multiple times and very friendly."

"Nice little restaurant off the beaten path. I can vouch for the fried taco and enchilada with medium sauce. Just enough heat to feel it. Tortilla chips on top of the beans was something I've never seen before, on the side would have been fine. Worth the stop if you're in Laramie and looking for Mexican food."
