What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"St. Paul Bagelry is a nice stop for breakfast! I visited on a Saturday around 10am and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes before ordering. The service was pretty good and the coffee was excellent. Their ambiance is cute too. We tried their bagels with cream cheese — one onion bagel & spinach dill cream cheese and one onion & jalapeno cream cheese. I found their actual bagel dough is quite good but I was really not a fan of the cream cheese texture. I believe the cream cheese is whipped and for me it was too thin, it reminded me of mayo consistency-wise. Some people may prefer it this way but it is not for me personally. All that said, I would definitely come back here for their coffee and to try their breakfast sandwiches without the cream cheese. I do recommend checking them out!"
"After picking up bagels and cream cheese a number of times, I decided to order sandwiches to take home on this stormy day. I placed the order online and headed into the shop about 7 minutes later. It was clean, as usual, with a somewhat short line. My sandwiches were ready to go and service was great. The bagels are always the perfect chewiness without being hard to bite into. We got one turkey sandwich on a salt bagel and one kickin’ turkey sandwich on an everything bagel. I bit into my turkey on salt bagel before taking a pic, and it was fantastic. Clearly very fresh turkey and vegetables. My husband said the same of his sandwich and when I asked what he thought, I was happy to get “it’s very good” out of him since he is pretty understated. They prepped these fast and with care and they were delicious, which makes me happy to live right down the street. This may be our new go-to sandwich place. Prices are great too!"
"I’ve been to Saint Paul Bagelry twice now, and each time has been consistently great. It’s hard to find bagels made from scratch, but this place nails it being chewy, fresh, and perfectly baked. They also offer a wide variety of house-made cream cheese flavors, which is a rare and delicious touch. You can go classic with a lox or breakfast sandwich, or build your own if you want to customize. Whether you’re a bagel purist or ready to splurge on a hearty, original sandwich, this place delivers. It’s a go-to recommendation for anyone craving real, quality bagels."
"This is a very good bagel spot. While I would not consider myself a bagel connoisseur these bagels were delicious. They were fresh, hot and delicious. I would highly recommend the Lox bagel with a sun dried tomato bagel. We also tried the Joni Mitchell and the Al green and both were also delicious. If you love bagels I would suggest you stop by. The service was efficient and it was not hard to get a space to eat. I will definitely return."
"When I saw that multiple coffee shops and delis sell St. Paul Bagelry bagels, I had to go to the source for what must be the best bagels in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Upon hearing that story, the manager/owner was quick to tell me about his family starting the business, the NY-style to authentic NY bagel comparison, his trip to New York to sample bagels there, and what his shop is known for — their large wholesale business; good bagel sandwiches; great music albums played on a turntable. I made the mistake of stopping near their 2 pm closing time, so the pickings were slim. Out of everything bagels, I went for my #2 choice when available, a pumpernickel bagel with butter. A young guy struggled to get enough cold, hard butter to spread across the bagel I asked to be toasted because it was clear it was made that morning. The bagel was on the thin side and the butter wasn’t plentiful, but it was tasty. I regret not at least getting a bagel sandwich of some kind on a still available sesame bagel. It probably would have been a better representation of their work. The turntable and albums are legit, and they offer “pop tarts” from another bakery and other goodies as well. I didn’t do St. Paul Bagelry justice on this visit. If I’m back in the area, I’ll go back."
"I stopped by St. Paul Bagelry mid-morning on a Saturday after hearing so many good things, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. It wasn't super..."
