"We arrived at 12:15 PM on Tuesday. Lunch is one of their main meals so I recommend coming a little early as they were extremely busy and seemed shorthanded. They were very friendly, but it took an hour and 45 minutes to have lunch due to the shortage of staff. We ordered one of the bowls and the Greek salad and some chips and salsa. The bowl and the Greek salad were fantastic. I was very disappointed in the chips and salsa as they brought us a small bowl of chips and a tiny little container of salsa and that was eight dollars. I do recommend this place as it is one if not the healthiest place to eat in Butte Montana. If I come in the future, I will try to come early or at a little bit of an off time."

"UPDATE: The manager personally emailed me back to apologize and refunded half my order which I greatly appreciated. Overall, this place has potential to be great, hopefully they can work on the food and customer service. Original post: Terrible customer service. Bland, tasteless food. WAY OVERPRICED. We are locals and had such high hopes for this place, so what a colossal disappointment! When we walked in we were not greeted with a smile, but a young lady named Kaylin that seemed frustrated and overwhelmed. We tried to cut her some slack since she seemed to be the only server for the whole restaurant and we were very kind and patient with her, despite her attitude. We even gave a 25% tip when we paid up front since it seemed like she was having a bad day and we felt a little bad for her. But things quickly went south after that despite our genorsity and kindness, and it's clear Hummingbird Cafe has much room for improvement. First, the food is just plain terrible, or average at best. We came here because the website said they source local and I was expecting great food quality, but this was nothing more than average tasteless ingredients. Secondly, they screwed up our order as well and were not at all apologetic about it which only frustrated me. Thirdly, service was very slow. Again, we tried to be patient but you literally just slapped roast beef on some bread and forgot ALL the toppings and that took you 30 min to make?? The pictures show it all. A hastily slapped together sandwich and a breakfast wrap. For the price of the food I certainly expected better quality. The roast beef on the sandwich was dry with crappy bread and again, they forgot all the toppings. Was someone not awake back there? The only redeeming quality was the ambiance. I loved the hummingbird theme and some of the art work, however the bathroom was disgusting. Smelled terrible and was filthy with no toilet paper."

"We had the portabella sandwich with a cuke tazik salad, the French au jus Sammie with grilled red potatoes... so good.. really just perfect. But the iced tea was so incredibly delicious I almost drank my partners glass of it... then I got my iced latte...Dear goddess...I was in heaven. Everything was so delish and affordable. The atmosphere was fun! I even got to buy a pair of lovely handmade earrings. 10/10"

"What a charming little hole-in-the-wall Cafe! There was a bit of a wait at the start but the waitress was very polite about it and asked if we would mind waiting a little bit. She was the only waitress, so she was busy and it was a little wait. The food was definitely 5 stars, with it coming out promptly, the flavors blending well, and the ingredients obviously fresh. The outside was absolutely gorgeous, and very quaint. The vegan and gluten free options covered a wide variety of foods, making it possible to eat here with allergies. Highly recommend coming!"
