"Walking through downtown and saw the plaza where the store is located! Very nicely decorated and inviting - specially now during Xmas. Inside it’s a blast from the past! It feels they have conserved many of the original styles of selling candy. They have fudge, ice cream, chocolates and candy and drinks & probably more which I’ll check out next time. Service is very nice, all staff was very welcoming and friendly. We bought a few chocolates with different insides, they all looked so amazing. Give them a visit if you’re in the area, you’ll be in for a sweet treat! They are generous to let you try the fudge too! I tried the turtle and wanted to just bite into the entire thing"
"This adorable little shop behind the Santa House called Bear City Fudge served me the BEST hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It was packed and a little chaotic, but the young staff was so sweet and helpful. They let me sample several fudge flavors, and the Chewy Praline was an instant favorite! I also tried their Bear Claw — chocolate fudge with caramel, pecans, and cashews shaped like a claw. Like a giant pecan turtle, YUM! Next time I’m in town, I’ll be back for their craft ice cream. The line was out the door, even though it was cold out. Looking foward to the next visit. 😊 ❄️🍫✨"
"Wonderful everything - the ice cream, the candies and the employees! And located in beautiful downtown New Bern. Stopped in after afternoon lunch date with family and it was a great decision. Great wonderful flavours, I had the banana split with black cherry ice cream, banana pudding ice cream and vanilla.. it was delish! They offer a variety of fudge and candy assortments for any sweet tooth cravings. The employees were very personable and helpful and made this an experience beyond its treats. They have a few tables outside along a beautiful scenery view of local downtown New Bern, made great and a perfect day! Highly recommend!"
