What People Are Saying
from Google"Blue Eye Bakers' Hamburg location is firing on almost all cylinders—exceptional food, stellar coffee, and a staff that actually cares. Just maybe invest in a kitchen door. Pre-Bills game breakfast with my sons Enzo and August has become something of a ritual, and the new Hamburg outpost of Blue Eye Bakers seemed like the perfect spot to fuel up before watching our team do their thing. We snagged seats at the bar, ready to carb-load with purpose. The food? Outstanding. The kind of breakfast that makes you wonder why you ever settled for mediocre eggs. The coffee hit exactly right—strong enough to make you feel like you can take on the day, smooth enough that you want another cup. Their drinks menu shows the same thoughtfulness, and the staff brought that rare combination of attentive service and genuine warmth that you can't fake. Here's where my inner operator kicks in. While we're settling in, the restaurant starts their early wrap-up (game day protocols, totally understandable), but there's this bizarre audio situation happening. Kitchen music. Dining room music. Both competing for dominance in the same acoustic space. It's like someone forgot that sound travels, or that customers can hear multiple sources at once. When I mentioned it? Got the casual shrug. The "yeah, I hear you, but I'm not doing anything about it" shrug. Look, I get it—it's not life or death. But when you're executing at such a high level everywhere else, this kind of easily fixable atmospheric fumble stands out. Close the kitchen door. Turn something down. Run a single playlist through the whole space. This is Hospitality 101, not quantum physics. Blue Eye Bakers Hamburg is doing almost everything right, which makes the audio oversight more frustrating than if they were generally sloppy. This is a team that clearly knows how to deliver—they just need someone to care about the details the same way they care about the food. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I hope they've sorted out the competing DJ situation? Also absolutely."
"We had the Eggs Benedict on a croissant and it was fantastic! Also the Pork Belly Hash….all so good"
"I have been to this location 3 times since it opened in october/november of 2025 and I have been more disappointed each time I visit. I can understand that a new launch will have growing pains but this is a second location so those problems should mosty be figured out at this point. When considering that and the prices, I feel compelled to voice my frustration as a consumer. The biggest issue I have is a lack of care from the staff as evidenced by: Issue #1- I arrived at around 1:00pm on monday 12/29 and was able to walk right up to the counter and ask for a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. I was told by the cashier that they did not have any bagels left and that they did not know when more would be coming out. I was disappointed so the cashier offered that I could purchase a gluten free bagel which she told me are kept in the back and not put in the up front display cases. I am not gluten free and thought it was odd to not have them out with the other bagels but I figured I would give it a shot. Please see the attached screenshots for what I recieved for $7.25. The google ai suggested caption for this is “plain baked round bread”. It appears that I was sold an untoasted hamburger bun and the person making this did not even soften the cream cheese so that it would spread correctly. Issue #2- I ordered a 20oz light roast drip coffee black and a 16oz chai latte. The cashier asked if I wanted these to go which I confirmed yes, please make them to go. The chai latte was interpreted by the barista to be an online order and was placed on the online order rack where it would sit for 15 minutes while the kitchen processed my bun. It was only until I asked the cashier for an update on my drinks that the barista and the cashier realized that no one made the drip coffee and that the chai on the rack was actually for me. My past experiences have been very similiar to this and I will not be coming back until I know they have made some improvements in these areas."
