"One of my favorite local spots in Lorain! I frequent often for a solid cup of coffee / matcha / tea and delicious treat, both sweet & savory. Love the staple baked goods, of course, but it’s fun when there are specialty treats for the seasons and holidays (some pictured). Most times I come, I post up for a couple of hours to work. But, I do find myself chatting alot with friends I’ve made within the community frequenting as well. The staff is wonderful and it’s been great to get to know them all personally, very friendly! I definitely recommend"

"The place is cozy and has a lot of personality! The staff are friendly and polite, The coffee is really good. I would like to highlight the pastries, they should invest in good options because the one that I bought was dry and tasteless. But overall I recommend a visit."

"The owner and his sister are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met. The extremely large, yet cozy facility in the heart of downtown Lorain's newly revamped business district contains the warmest of hearts and tastiest beverages. The Gourmet Coffee, with amazing, quality ingredients and combinations from the lead barista are not priced nearly enough for the experience! Housemade pastries would easily sell for triple that in a big city shop with the elegance and care they were prepared with. It is a shame that I am only allowed to rate this place five stars. 6 is way more appropriate! My hat's off to you, Magdalen's!"

"Great coffee shop in the heart of downtown Lorain! Chai is the best Ive ever had! Employees are always friendly and helpful! My last visit was for take out and they were out of drink carriers, so the owner helped me carry my 4 drinks across the street. Very nice gesture!"
